Job Role

Mason / Block Mason / Bricklayer

Job Responsibilities

· Lay bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials according to drawings and supervisor instructions.

· Prepare and apply mortar, maintaining correct alignment, level and spacing.

· Build or repair walls, partitions and other masonry structures as assigned.

· Measure work areas and cut or shape masonry materials using appropriate tools.

· Assist with plastering or finishing tasks when required by the project.

· Follow site safety rules, use required personal protective equipment and keep the work area clean.

Skills & Experience

· Relevant masonry experience on construction projects is preferred.

· Knowledge of bricklaying, blockwork, mortar mixing and basic measurements.

· Ability to follow drawings, measurements and site instructions.

· Familiarity with hand tools and safe working practices.

· Experience with blockwork, brickwork or finishing tasks is an advantage.
