Casual Labourer — 14 openings

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Client site, Chennai | Type: Full-time, on Proway payroll (contract labour) | Shift: Rotational (to be confirmed)

Role summary: Manual handling and general support in the warehouse: loading, unloading, stacking and housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles; move, stack and arrange cartons, reels and pallets as instructed by the Supervisor.

• Palletise, shrink-wrap and label cargo; assist with picking, counting and staging.

• Keep work areas, aisles and dock areas clean and clear.

• Follow safety instructions; use PPE (safety shoes, gloves, helmet, high-visibility vest) at all times.

• Report damage, shortage or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately.

• Stay clear of forklift and reach truck paths; never ride or stand on forks.

Requirements

• Education: No formal requirement; functional literacy preferred.

• Experience: Not mandatory; warehouse or factory loading experience is an advantage.

• Skills: Physical fitness for lifting and standing through the shift, teamwork, punctuality, ability to follow instructions in Tamil (Hindi an advantage).

• Age 18–45; Aadhaar and bank account required for onboarding, statutory documents (PF/ESI) to follow.

Indicative gross (planning estimate): ₹14,044–15,500/month (floor ₹14,044), plus overtime as per law.
