Job Description

Position: Pressman
Department: Laundry Operations
Location: (As per site)
Reporting To: Laundry Supervisor / Shift In-charge

Key Responsibilities:

Steam press, flatwork press, ironing aur finishing processes perform karna
Uniforms, linens, garments, bedsheets, pillow covers, gowns, towels etc. ka proper finishing karna
Fabric ke type ke hisaab se temperature & pressure set karna
Finishing ke baad folding & packing standards maintain karna
Daily productivity targets achieve karna
Garments pe stains, defects & damage check karna before/after pressing
Machine handling & day-to-day cleaning ensure karna
Safety compliance follow karna (steam/heat operations)
Laundry Supervisor ko daily output & material usage report karna
Client quality standards maintain karna (Hospitals/Hotels/Corporate)
Ironing/pressing machines ki basic routine maintenance report karna
Workstation ko clean & organized rakhna

Skills & Competencies Required:

Steam press/flatwork press ka experience
Fabric handling & finishing knowledge
Quality checking sense
Heat & steam safety awareness
Time management & speed efficiency
Team collaboration
Physically fit & active

Experience:

1–3 years min. (Laundry domain preferred: hotel/hospital/industrial laundry)

Working Conditions:

Shift-based working
Heat/steam environment
Standing & physical work the whole shift
