A Laundry Worker is responsible for the entire laundry process, from sorting and washing to drying, folding, and potentially pressing or ironing clothing and linens. They operate laundry equipment, maintain the work area, and ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Sorting and Separating:
Classifying laundry by fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
Operating Equipment:
Operating washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment, following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Washing and Drying:
Loading and unloading machines, adjusting settings, and monitoring cycles to ensure proper cleaning and drying.
Folding and Finishing:
Folding, pressing, and ironing laundry items, ensuring they are free of wrinkles and meet quality standards.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cleaning machines and equipment.
Inventory Management:
Tracking inventory levels for supplies and notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.
Quality Control:
Inspecting laundered items for stains, damage, or other issues, and reporting any problems.
Customer Service:
Interacting with customers, providing advice on cleaning, and handling their laundry needs.
Safety Compliance:
