Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Material Handling & Preparation
Transporting Goods: Moving raw materials, tools, and finished products between storage and production zones manually or using forklifts/pallet jacks.
Loading/Unloading: Feeding materials onto conveyor belts, loading equipment hoppers, and unloading packed products.
Supply Chain Support: Supplying senior production workers or machine operators with the tools and materials they need.
2. Assembly & Production
Machine Operation: Starting, stopping, and regulating equipment.
Manual Assembly: Putting together product components by hand or with basic tools.
Quality Control: Monitoring the assembly line for faulty or defective parts, removing them as instructed.
3. Packaging & Shipping
Packaging: Counting and packing finished goods into correct boxes and packages.
Labeling: Attaching identification tags, labels, and barcodes to finalized goods.
Shipment Prep: Placing products on designated pallets and organizing them for shipment.
4. Safety & Maintenance
Housekeeping: Sweeping, mopping, scraping waste material, and removing debris to keep work areas hazard-free.
Equipment Upkeep: Cleaning tools and assisting with basic preventative maintenance or equipment lubrication.
Compliance: Strictly following occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
5. Reporting & Communication
Monitoring: Observing equipment operations to detect malfunctions.
Reporting: Notifying supervisors of defective products, depleted inventory, or broken machinery.
Data Logging: Reading basic gauges and documenting production quantities
