Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Factory Helper to join our electrical panel board manufacturing team at Aimant Industries. In this role, you will assist assembly technicians, prepare enclosure materials, move components, and help maintain an efficient, hazard-free workshop.

No prior experience in electrical engineering is required, but a basic understanding of hand tools and a strong willingness to learn the panel-building process are highly valued. We provide full on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Move heavy steel enclosures, copper busbars, switchgear, and incoming electrical components to designated assembly stations.

• Mechanical Prep Work: Assist technicians by drilling holes, deburring metal edges, and mounting basic hardware onto panel enclosures using hand and power tools.

• Component Sorting: Organize and kit electrical components (like relays, breakers, and terminal blocks) for specific panel builds based on production lists.

• Packing & Shipping: Carefully wrap finished panel boards in protective materials and secure them onto pallets for safe transit.

• Workshop Upkeep: Keep assembly tables clear, sweep up wire clippings and metal shavings, and ensure walkways remain safe and free of tripping hazards.

• Safety Adherence: Strictly follow electrical workshop safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly, as panels and steel parts can be heavy.

• Tool Familiarity: Comfortable handling basic hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and power drills.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately sort small electrical components and follow physical assembly layouts.

• Teamwork & Communication: Strong listening skills to take directions from senior panel builders and supervisors.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; any vocational training or exposure to an electrical workshop environment is a plus.

• It is a Full Time Labour/Helper job for candidates with 0 - 6 months of experience.
