4A Construction – Industrial Flooring Division
Role Overview
We are looking for hardworking and disciplined labourers to join our VDF flooring team. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, pouring, and finishing of high-strength industrial floors. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work with specialized dewatering equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation: Leveling the sub-base and fixing side shutters/channels to the correct slope and elevation.
Concrete Spreading: Evenly spreading RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) or site-mix concrete using shovels and screed vibrators.
Equipment Operation: Assisting in the setup of the Vacuum Suction Mat and pump system to remove excess water.
Finishing: Operating or assisting with the Skin Floater and Power Trowel (Double Disk) to achieve a smooth, hard-wearing finish.
Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining mats, suction pipes, and trowel blades after every shift to prevent concrete buildup.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Previous experience in industrial flooring or VDF projects is highly preferred.
Stamina: Ability to work long hours on your feet, often in outdoor or semi-open warehouse environments.
Precision: Understanding of floor levels and the importance of the "water-cement ratio."
Teamwork: VDF is a fast-paced "chain" process; you must be able to coordinate closely with the pump operator and the finishers.
Quick Hiring Tip for 4A Construction
Since VDF work often happens in "pours" that can last 12+ hours, look for workers who have worked on warehouse projects or highway bridge decks before. They are usually more accustomed to the high-pressure environment of a continuous pour.
