QC Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and record the temperature of the laboratory oven.

• Perform daily pH meter calibration and maintain accurate records.

• Conduct daily balance calibration and maintain appropriate records.

• Check and record temperature and humidity levels in the QC Instrument Lab.

• Calibrate various laboratory instruments, including pH meter, UV spectrophotometer, MP apparatus, KF apparatus, polarimeter, refractometer, UV cabinet, and Balance-AND, as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Conduct daily sampling and chemical analysis of DM and distilled water.

• Maintain control samples of raw materials (RM) and finished products.

• Perform sampling of raw materials and packaging materials.

• Analyse raw materials, including purchase samples and packaging materials, ensuring timely report completion with status labelling.

• Collect and analyse in-process samples and equipment cleaning samples.

• Conduct sampling and analysis of finished products, ensuring proper record-keeping.

• Perform Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) analysis and maintain records.

• Ensure the proper destruction of control samples of RM and finished products, maintaining accurate documentation.

• Prepare volumetric solutions and reagents, ensuring proper standardisation.

• Adhere to and execute tasks as per SOP guidelines.

• Assume the responsibilities of colleagues in their absence.

• Fulfil any additional responsibilities assigned by the Department Head as needed.
