Job Title: Blood Collection Technician / Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures safely and accurately

• Verify patient identity and test requisition details before sample collection

• Explain blood collection procedures to patients and address their concerns politely

• Ensure proper labeling of blood samples with patient details and test information

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and infection control protocols

• Maintain hygiene, use sterile equipment, and follow biomedical waste disposal rules

• Handle, store, and transport blood samples under prescribed conditions

• Record patient and sample details accurately in registers or laboratory systems

• Assist in maintaining inventory of collection supplies and equipment

• Report any adverse reactions or complications during blood collection to the supervisor

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times

• Support lab staff with additional duties as required

Required Skills & Qualities:

• Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle patients with care and empathy

• Basic knowledge of lab safety and hygiene standards

• It is a Full Time Lab Technician / Pharmacist job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
