Phlebotomist – Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and professional Phlebotomist to join our team. The candidate should have strong knowledge of blood collection techniques and must be able to handle patients with care and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely and accurately.

Collect and label blood samples according to standard guidelines.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of samples to the laboratory.

Maintain hygienic and sterile environments during all procedures.

Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding.

Record patient information, sample details, and maintain documentation.

Manage home collection visits (if required) and follow scheduled routes.

Follow all safety protocols and infection-control procedures.

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and laboratory staff efficiently.

Provide excellent patient care, especially for elderly, children, and anxious patients.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Phlebotomy.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in blood sample collection (freshers may also apply depending on company requirement).

Good communication and patient-handling skills.

Knowledge of basic medical terminology and lab procedures.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualities:

Professional behavior, punctuality, and good interpersonal skills.

Ability to stay calm in stressful or emergency situations.

Strong attention to detail to avoid sample errors.

Job Location: Yelahanka, Banglore

Work Schedule: 8:00AM TO 5:00PM

Salary: 15K TO 16K
