Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for collecting blood and other biological samples from patients, ensuring proper sample labelling and handling, maintaining hygiene standards, and coordinating with the laboratory team for accurate and timely diagnostic testing.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in blood collection, good patient-handling skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other approved collection techniques.

• Verify patient details and ensure accurate sample identification and labelling.

• Handle, store, and transport collected samples according to laboratory protocols.

• Follow infection control procedures, hygiene standards, and biomedical waste disposal guidelines.

• Prepare patients for sample collection and explain the procedure professionally.

• Maintain phlebotomy equipment, collection supplies, and cleanliness of the collection area.

• Ensure proper documentation and timely coordination with laboratory staff.

• Handle patients courteously and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

• Monitor inventory of blood collection tubes, needles, gloves, and other consumables.

• Follow all applicable healthcare quality and safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in phlebotomy or blood sample collection.

• DMIT/DMMLT/DMLT/MLT certification or an equivalent relevant laboratory qualification, as applicable.

• Practical knowledge of venipuncture and blood sample collection techniques.

• Knowledge of sample handling, labelling, storage, and transportation procedures.

• Understanding of infection control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety.

• Good communication skills and the ability to handle patients professionally.

• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

• Candidates comfortable working at the specified locations are preferred.

Salary Package and Benefits

Monthly Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
