About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The role involves collecting blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring proper handling as per medical and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples via venipuncture, finger pricks, or heel sticks (as required).

• Label, store, and transport blood samples to the laboratory following protocols.

• Prepare specimens for diagnostic testing.

• Ensure proper sterilization, hygiene, and safety standards while handling patients.

• Maintain accurate records of samples, test requests, and reports.

• Interact with patients professionally, explaining the procedure and making them comfortable.

• Monitor and maintain stock of sample collection equipment.

• Assist in other pathology/lab tasks as needed.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of blood collection techniques and procedures.

• Familiarity with medical safety and hygiene protocols.

• Good communication and patient-handling skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and documentation.

• Ability to work in fast-paced diagnostic or hospital environments.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / CMLT)

• Relevant phlebotomy certification or experience in pathology lab
