Role Summary

The Home Collection Phlebotomist is responsible for visiting patients’ homes to collect blood and other samples safely and professionally. The role requires excellent communication, punctuality, and adherence to quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit patients’ homes for sample collection as per daily schedule.

• Collect blood, urine, and other lab samples using proper phlebotomy techniques.

• Verify patient details before sample collection to ensure accuracy.

• Label samples correctly and maintain sample integrity during transit.

• Ensure proper storage and timely transport of samples to the laboratory.

• Maintain hygiene and follow all safety protocols (PPE, sanitization, waste disposal).

• Provide a polite, respectful, and comfortable experience to patients.

• Handle billing, payment collection, and receipt generation if required.

• Maintain daily records and submit reports to the supervisor.

• Coordinate with the lab and customer care team for scheduling and updates.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / Certification in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT / CMLT) preferred.

• Experience in phlebotomy or sample collection.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle elderly, pediatric, and anxious patients gently.

• Basic knowledge of mobile apps for booking updates and reporting.

• Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.

Work Schedule
