Pharmacist

• Dispensing & Accuracy:

  Filling and labeling prescriptions accurately, verifying dosages and legality, and ensuring correct medication for patients. 

• Patient Counseling:

  Advising patients on how to take medications, potential side effects, interactions, and proper storage. 

• Collaboration:

  Working with doctors and healthcare teams to review prescriptions, monitor therapies, and optimize treatment plans. 

• Inventory & Records:

  Managing drug stock, maintaining controlled substance records, and adhering to legal/regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, DEA). 

• Health Services:

  Administering immunizations and providing health screenings as permitted. 

Key Duties:

• Reviewing physician orders for therapeutic appropriateness and potential conflicts.

• Compounding and preparing medications.

• Monitoring patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness.

• Providing expert advice on medication selection, dosage, and interactions.

• Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Educating patients and other healthcare professionals.
