Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions to ensure safe and effective use of medications. The role involves providing professional advice on drug therapy, educating patients on proper medication use, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards governing pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.

• Dispense medications according to legal and professional standards.

• Provide counseling to patients on correct medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.

• Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions, controlled substances, and other pharmacy-related documentation.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.

• Monitor patient medication therapies to avoid adverse effects and drug interactions.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.

• Manage inventory, including ordering, storing, and checking expiry dates of medications.

• Support vaccination and public health initiatives where applicable.

• Stay updated on new drugs, medical products, and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.

• Valid pharmacy license in Telangana.

• Proven experience as a pharmacist in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage requirements.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) or pharmacy management systems.

• Certification in immunization administration or clinical specialties.

• Leadership or training experience.

• It is a Full Time Lab Technician / Pharmacist job for candidates with 6 months - 1 years of experience.
