Dispensing & Prescription Management
Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients.
Ensure proper dosage, form, and quantity as per doctor’s prescription.
Check prescriptions for errors or potential drug interactions.
Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain stock levels of medicines and medical supplies.
Conduct daily/weekly stock audits and manage expiry control.
Place medicine indents with suppliers or central stores on time.
Patient Counseling
Educate patients on the correct use of medications.
Provide guidance on dosage, side effects, and storage instructions.
Regulatory & Documentation
Maintain purchase and sales records as per Drug Control norms.
Ensure all narcotic and restricted drugs are recorded as per law.
Support internal and external pharmacy audits.
Coordination
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other staff for smooth pharmacy operations.
Assist the billing team in ensuring proper medicine charge entries.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with Drug and Cosmetic Act regulations.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in the pharmacy.
Follow hospital policies and ethical standards at all times.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage forms, and interactions.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and patient-handling skills.
Inventory management and record-keeping skills.
Teamwork and time management abilities.
Educational: D.Pharm / B.Pharm (Registered with State Pharmacy Council).
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy (freshers may also apply).
License: Valid Pharmacist Registration Certificate.
