Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all legal, professional, and ethical standards. This role involves providing medication counseling, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through safe and effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.

• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with regulations and organizational policies.

• Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.

• Maintain up-to-date patient medication profiles and ensure data accuracy.

• Monitor patient health and progress to optimize medication therapy.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.

• Manage inventory, check for expired medications, and maintain stock levels.

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.

• Licensure: Valid state pharmacist license in good standing.

• Skills:
