Job Summary:

The pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescribed medications to patients, providing information about proper usage and potential side effects, and ensuring compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret prescriptions from doctors and healthcare providers.

• Accurately prepare, compound, and dispense prescribed medications.

• Advise patients on dosage, side effects, drug interactions, and storage of medications.

• Monitor patient medication therapies to avoid adverse effects or interactions.

• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.

• Manage and oversee pharmacy assistants and technicians.

• Stay updated with new medicines, treatment trends, and regulatory changes.

• Provide health and wellness advice, including vaccinations and general health guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) degree.

• Valid pharmacy license/registration PCI mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems.

Experience:

• 0–2 years for entry-level roles.

• 3+ years preferred for senior or hospital-based roles.

Work Environment:

• Hospital, clinic, retail pharmacy, or healthcare facility.

• May require shifts, weekends, and public holiday work depending on facility hours.

• It is a Full Time Lab Technician / Pharmacist job for candidates with 6 months - 1 years of experience.
