Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development

   • Develop new formulations as per market needs and company requirements.

   • Improve existing products for better performance, cost-effectiveness, and stability.

   • Conduct trials for new ingredients, raw materials, and technologies.

2. Formulation & Testing

   • Prepare lab batches and maintain batch records.

   • Test product stability, compatibility, and performance.

   • Ensure products meet regulatory, quality, and safety standards.

3. Documentation & Compliance

   • Prepare technical documents: COA, MSDS, PIF, specifications, and stability reports.

   • Maintain R&D documentation, formulation sheets, and SOPs.

   • Work with QA/QC to ensure regulatory compliance.

4. Raw Material Evaluation

   • Evaluate new raw materials and suppliers.

   • Conduct performance comparison studies and cost-benefit analysis.

5. Process Transfer

   • Assist in scaling up batches from lab to production.

   • Coordinate with the Production team for smooth process transfer and troubleshooting.

6. Market & Trend Research

   • Study market trends, competitor products, and new technologies.

   • Suggest innovative ideas for new product development.

7. Cross-functional Coordination

   • Work closely with QA, QC, Production, and Purchase for formulation and raw material approvals.

   • Provide technical support to the sales/marketing team when required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Tech / M.Tech (Chemistry, Cosmetics, Pharma, or relevant field)

• Proven experience in formulation development (Pharma/Cosmetics/FMCG).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good knowledge of raw materials, chemicals, and formulation techniques.

• Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.

• Knowledge of GMP, ISO, regulatory norms.
