Job Summary

A Molecular Lab Technician performs laboratory testing and analysis using molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, sequencing, and sample preparation. The role supports research, diagnostics, quality control, or biotechnology operations while maintaining laboratory safety and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology experiments and diagnostic tests.

• Conduct DNA/RNA extraction and sample preparation.

• Run and analyze PCR/qPCR/RT-PCR assays.

• Prepare reagents, buffers, and laboratory media.

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Record, analyze, and report experimental or diagnostic results.

• Follow SOPs, GLP, GMP, CAP, and biosafety guidelines.

• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and inventory.

• Assist in validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.

• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory workspace.

• Coordinate with scientists, microbiologists, pathologists, or QA teams.
