The Lab Chemist is responsible for performing chemical analyses, experiments, and quality testing to support research, production, or quality control activities while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with laboratory standards.
Conduct chemical testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and standards
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV, pH meter, titration equipment)
Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
Follow SOPs, GLP, and safety protocols at all times
Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results
Maintain proper documentation and lab records
Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements
Assist in method development and validation (if applicable)
Dispose of chemical waste according to safety guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or related field
1–3 years of laboratory experience (freshers may apply for junior roles)
Knowledge of analytical techniques and lab instruments
Familiarity with GLP, GMP, ISO standards (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good documentation and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, LIMS preferred)
