Reporting to: Quality Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Lab Chemist with hands-on experience in quality testing of raw materials and finished goods, particularly for cattle feed or poultry feed applications. The role demands expertise in both proximate analysis and oil parameter testing, including nutritional and physical quality checks of feed ingredients.

Only candidates from the Cattle Feed or Poultry Feed industry will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests on raw materials (e.g. Soya, Maize, Rice) and finished products as per standard procedures.

• Conduct the following essential tests:

  • Calcium

  • Phosphorus

  • Crude Fat

  • Sand & Silica content

  • Moisture content

  • Protein

• For oil-based materials, conduct:

  • Color

  • Bleach value

  • FFA (Free Fatty Acid)

  • Oil Percentage

• Operate and maintain lab instruments such as:

  • Soxhlet extractor

  • Muffle furnace

  • Spectrophotometer

  • Moisture meter

  • pH meter

• Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation as per SOP and audit requirements.

• Ensure lab equipment calibration and cleanliness.

• Flag any quality deviations immediately and assist in root cause analysis.

• Support QA/QC audits and maintain compliance with quality norms and certifications (ISO, FSSAI, etc.).

• It is a Full Time Lab Technician / Pharmacist job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
