Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine testing of lubricants, base oils, additives, as per standard test methods.
Perform tests such as viscosity, density, flash point, pour point, acidity (TAN/TBN), and moisture content.
Assist in incoming raw material inspection and verification against specifications.
Record and maintain accurate test reports, and lab records.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (e.g., viscometer, flash point apparatus, densitometer).
Support investigation of quality deviations, complaints, and non-conforming products.
Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and storage.
Maintain lab housekeeping, hygiene, and safety standards, including handling of chemicals.
Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams for quality-related issues.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of lubricant and chemical testing methods
Familiarity with lab instruments and calibration practices
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting)
Awareness of safety and chemical handling procedures
Basic understanding of MSDS, PPE usage, and hazardous chemical handling
Qualifications & Experience:
M.Sc/B.Sc. / Diploma in Chemistry / Petrochemicals / Chemical Engineering
1–3 years’ experience in QA/QC lab in lubricants, oil, or chemical industry
