Lab attendent Roles and responsibities

  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and work areas

  • Assist technicians and scientists in basic lab tasks

  • Prepare materials, chemicals, and instruments for experiments

  • Ensure proper storage of chemicals and lab supplies

  • Handle and dispose of waste materials safely as per guidelines

  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and inform shortages

  • Label, organize, and store samples properly

  • Follow safety rules and maintain hygiene standards in the lab

  • Carry out basic documentation and record-keeping

  • Assist in packing, unpacking, and moving lab equipment if required
