Job Description

A Trainee Chemist job involves assisting senior staff with lab tasks like sample prep, running tests (HPLC, GC, titration, etc.), data recording, and equipment maintenance, focusing on learning protocols, quality standards (GMP/GLP), and safety, primarily supporting R&D or Quality Control (QC) in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical industries, requiring a Chemistry degree and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Conduct Experiments: Perform qualitative/quantitative tests and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Sample & Reagent Prep: Prepare chemical solutions, standards, and samples for analysis.
Data & Documentation: Record experiment details, analyze results, and write technical reports.
Equipment Handling: Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain lab instruments (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR).
Quality & Safety: Adhere to SOPs, GMP/GLP guidelines, and safety protocols; assist with stability studies.
Support: Assist senior chemists, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with R&D/QC teams.
