Chemist - Quality Control

We are looking for a Chemist - Quality Control to join our team at Rau Location to assist in QC Packing Material Chemist ensures all packaging components (e.g., bottles, caps, blisters, foils, labels, cartons) meet specified quality standards before release for production in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals. The role safeguards product integrity, compliance, and patient/consumer safety by performing sampling, testing, documentation, and release of packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key Responsibilities

  - Sampling and Receipt Control

    - Receive, identify, and sample packaging materials from stores as per SOP and sampling plans.

    - Verify supplier documentation: Certificate of Analysis (CoA), specifications, and compliance statements.

    - Generate and control sample labels, quarantine/release status tags.

   

  - Testing and Evaluation

    - Perform physical and visual checks: dimensions, grammage/GSM, thickness, torque, burst/tear, seal integrity, print quality, color shade/delta E, barcode/QR readability, foil/poly integrity, pinhole and light transmission tests.

    - Conduct chemical/compatibility checks as applicable: extractables/leachables screening, ink/adhesive suitability.

   

   

  - Documentation and Compliance

    - Prepare test records, maintain logbooks, instrument calibration records, and retain samples.

    - Issue test reports and disposition (Approved/Rejected/Conditionally Approved) aligned with specifications.

    - Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, GDP, and applicable packaging standards (e.g., IS/ASTM/ISO, pharmacopoeial references for packaging where applicable).

   

  - Cross-functional Coordination

    - Work with Procurement and Vendor QA on supplier qualification and audits.

    - Coordinate with Production for line trials and machine compatibility (e.g., blistering, cartoning, labeling).

    - Support Artwork/Regulatory for controlled artwork versioning and print checks on receipt.s.

Job Requirements:

Typical Educational Background

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Polymer Science; B.Pharm/M.Pharm for pharma environments is preferred.

## Experience Level and Growth

- Entry: 0–2 years as QC Chemist/Analyst (Packaging).
