IT Project Manager
Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organization skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation and budget estimates.
Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
2. Team & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings (for Agile environments).
Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular status updates and reports.
3. Risk & Issue Management
Identify project risks and issues early, and create mitigation plans.
Resolve conflicts, roadblocks, and dependencies to maintain project momentum.
Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and IT governance.
4. Budget & Resource Management
Monitor project budgets and control expenditures.
Manage internal and external resources, including vendor oversight.
Ensure efficient utilization of project staff and tools.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain project documentation (charters, schedules, change requests, closure reports).
Measure project performance using appropriate KPIs and project management tools.
Prepare post-implementation reviews and lessons learned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT project management.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts.
Proficiency with project management tools.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing enterprise-level software, cloud, or digital transformation projects.
