Backend Developer / Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Java Backend Developer to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of backend development, database management, REST APIs, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and develop secure and scalable REST APIs.

• Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security.

• Work with Hibernate/JPA for database integration and ORM.

• Develop and maintain Microservices based applications.

• Design, write, and optimize database queries.

• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Integrate backend services with frontend and mobile applications.

• Perform API testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

• Identify and resolve performance and technical issues.

• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, mobile developers, QA, and other team members.

• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Core Java.

• Good experience with Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Spring Security and authentication/authorization.

• Good understanding of Hibernate/JPA.

• Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration.

• Understanding of Microservices architecture.

• Good knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.

• Understanding of database design, queries, joins, and optimization.

• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab.

• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with production-level Spring Boot applications.

• Knowledge of API security and JWT authentication.

• Understanding of Docker and cloud platforms is a plus.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.

• Experience with distributed systems and service-to-service communication is a plus.
