Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with 3.5+ years of hands-on experience in native Android application development.

The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Fragments, Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, MVVM, REST APIs, Retrofit, Coroutines, Jetpack Components, and Dagger/Hilt.

The role involves developing and maintaining production-level Android applications, integrating APIs, debugging issues, improving performance, and writing clean and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

• Build scalable and maintainable applications using MVVM/MVI architecture.

• Develop UI using Activities, Fragments, XML, RecyclerView, ViewBinding/DataBinding, and Material Design.

• Handle Activity/Fragment lifecycle, navigation, back stack, and configuration changes.

• Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp.

• Implement dependency injection using Dagger/Hilt.

• Work with Coroutines, Flow, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation Component, and WorkManager.

• Debug and resolve crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, and performance issues.

• Implement lifecycle-safe and efficient background operations.

• Work with Git, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Follow coding standards and Android best practices.

• Understand existing production code and enhance features without affecting existing functionality.

Required Skills

• 3.5+ years of professional native Android development experience

• Strong knowledge of Kotlin

• Good working knowledge of Java

• Strong understanding of Android SDK

• Strong understanding of Activity & Fragment Lifecycle

• Experience with MVVM/MVI

• Hands-on experience with Retrofit/OkHttp and REST APIs

• Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow

• Hands-on experience with Dagger/Hilt

• Experience with Android Jetpack components

• Good knowledge of Room, ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation Component, and WorkManager

• Good understanding of Git and version control

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification

Required: Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, or a directly related computer/IT discipline.

Preferred: MCA, M.Sc. Computer Science/IT, M.Tech/M.E. Computer Science, or equivalent.

CDAC candidates: Candidates will be considered only if their prior academic qualification is in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or a related computer discipline.
