Quality Assurance Executive

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans.

• Perform manual testing such as functional, regression, smoke, usability, and integration testing.

• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, etc.).

• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and verify fixes.

• Ensure software stability across devices and platforms.

• Conduct UI/UX checks to ensure seamless user experience.

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman (if applicable).

• Participate in review meetings and contribute to improving the QA process.

• Prepare QA reports, test documentation, and defect summaries.

• Assist in creating and updating QA standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

• Experience with test case design and defect reporting.

• Knowledge of bug-tracking tools and test management tools.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in automation testing (Selenium, Appium, Playwright, etc.).

• Knowledge of SQL for database validation.

• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.

• Basic knowledge of version control tools (Git, GitHub).

• Experience in mobile app or game testing (if relevant to your company).
