Network Engineer

1. Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to install, manage, and maintain network infrastructure for client sites and internal operations. The role includes configuring routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi systems, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing technical support for surveillance & access control integration.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Installation & Configuration

·         Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

·         Configure LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, and routing protocols.

·         Set up network security (firewalls, ACLs, NAT, port rules).

·         Support integration with CCTV, access control, and biometric devices.

B. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

·         Monitor network performance and ensure uptime.

·         Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.

·         Handle bandwidth, latency, and packet-loss problems.

·         Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring issues.

C. Maintenance & Documentation

·         Conduct regular preventive maintenance.

·         Maintain network diagrams, IP schemes, and device inventory.

·         Update firmware and ensure security compliance.

D. Client Support

·         Provide on-site and remote support to clients.

·         Coordinate with ISP & vendors for network issues.

·         Assist sales team with technical proposals and surveys when required.

3. Required Skills & Qualifications

·         Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields.

·         1–4 years of experience in networking.

·         Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, routing & switching.

·         Hands-on experience with MikroTik, Cisco, TP-Link, Sophos, Fortinet (any).

·         Basic understanding of firewalls & network security.

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

·         Good communication and problem-solving skills.

4. Preferred Skills (Optional)

·         CCNA or equivalent certification.

·         Experience with surveillance networking (CCTV/IP cameras).

·         Knowledge of server basics (Windows/Linux).

·         Experience with structured cabling & fiber splicing.

5. Salary Range

₹15,000 – ₹30,000 (based on skills & experience) + TA/DA (if applicable).

6. Other Requirements

·         Willingness to travel to client sites.

·         Commitment to handling emergency network issues.
