Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for network issues across routing, switching, and firewall systems.

• Configure and troubleshoot L2/L3 protocols: VLANs, STP/RSTP, VTP, BGP, and routing policies.

• Monitor and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Fortigate).

• Assist in configuration and management of VPNs (Site-to-Site & Remote Access).

• Support implementation of routing and switching changes under senior engineer guidance.

• Perform network performance monitoring, basic root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

• Work with internal teams and vendors on upgrades, migrations, and escalations.

• Maintain documentation for network configurations, topologies, and SOPs.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Networking Fundamentals (Routing & Switching).

• Hands-on knowledge of BGP and other core network protocols.

• Firewall management exposure (Cisco ASA, FortiGate preferred).

• Basic Python scripting for network automation or task simplification.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Observium, etc.).

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
