About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Hardware & Network Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for our customers' computer systems, hardware, and basic network infrastructure. This position is perfect for someone with foundational IT knowledge looking to build practical experience in a real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Support:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals
Perform hardware upgrades and replacements (RAM, hard drives, power supplies, etc.)
Maintain hardware inventory and track equipment assignments
Diagnose and resolve basic computer hardware issues
Basic Network Support:
Set up and configure basic network equipment (routers, switches, access points)
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired and wireless)
Assist with network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 cable termination and testing)
Configure basic network settings (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS)
Monitor network performance and report issues
General IT Support:
Install and configure Windows operating systems and software applications
Provide basic user support and training
Perform regular system maintenance and updates
Maintain documentation of systems and procedures
Respond to IT support tickets and user requests
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation) OR 6-12 months relevant experience
Freshers with relevant coursework/projects may apply
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of computer hardware components
Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi)
Ability to use common diagnostic tools and software
Personal Attributes:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills for interacting with non-technical users
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with Active Directory basics
Familiarity with basic cybersecurity principles
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 administration
Customer service experience
Work Environment

Occasional after-hours work for maintenance/upgrades
