IT Technician/Network Technician

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Installation & Configuration:

   • Setup, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

   • Install network hardware and software and ensure proper connectivity.

2. Monitoring & Maintenance:

   • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network uptime and reliability.

   • Perform regular backups and system updates.

3. Security Management:

   • Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus protection.

   • Monitor for unauthorized access, cyber threats, and resolve security breaches.

4. User Support:

   • Provide technical support to end-users regarding network issues.

   • Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and procurement.

5. Documentation & Compliance:

   • Maintain proper documentation for network architecture, updates, and security protocols.

   • Ensure compliance with IT policies and data protection regulations.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

• Experience with Cisco/Juniper devices, firewalls (FortiGate, SonicWall), and VPN configurations.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in networking.

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
