IT Hardware Engineer

Computer Hardware & System Setup ● Assemble desktop PCs and install operating systems and software ● Configure user applications and Outlook email accounts Server Configuration & Management ● Set up RAID configurations and domain controllers ● Deploy user policies and manage access permissions Firewall, Router & VPN Configuration ● Configure firewalls and routers for secure network connectivity ● Set up and test VPN access for remote users Data Backup & Recovery ● Implement automated and cloud backup systems ● Perform and verify data restores as per requirements NAS Setup & Maintenance ● Install and configure NAS devices for file storage ● Ensure shared data access over local networks is stable and secure Troubleshooting & Technical Support ● Diagnose and fix software, OS, and hardware-related issues ● Support users in resolving system errors and performance problems System Documentation & Process Improvement ● Maintain records of system configurations and network setups ● Identify and suggest improvements in technical processes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) ● Systems assembled and configured as per standard requirements ● Server environments set up correctly and securely ● Firewalls, routers, and VPN access configured and tested successfully ● Data backup and restore operations executed reliably ● NAS systems maintained with uninterrupted access ● Technical issues resolved efficiently and with minimal downtime ● Documentation updated regularly and process suggestions implemented Functional & Technical Requirements ● Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Hardware, Networking, or related field ● Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT hardware support, including server and network setup ● Must have hands-on experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, and restoring Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 operating systems along with essential applications like MS Office and antivirus. ● Should be skilled in PC assembling, basic laptop repairing, system formatting, driver configuration,and multi-OS installation with a strong understanding of hardware components and diagnostics. ● Capable of installing and configuring servers, including Active Directory (AD), Domain Controller (DC), and DHCP setup, with a clear understanding of basic server and networking concepts.Must demonstrate a logical, analytical, and solution-focused approach while troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, with the ability to learn implement new tools or procedures Behavioral Skill Requirements ● Strong analytical and problem solving ● High accountability and ownership ● Professional attitude and effective communication ● Attention to detail ● Willingness to learn ● Team collaboration and reliability ● What is in for ME?
