Job Title: IT Hardware & Networking Engineer

Job Summary:

The IT Hardware & Networking Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all hardware, software, and networking issues within the organization. This role ensures the smooth functioning of desktops, laptops, printers, LAN/WAN networks, internet connectivity, and server support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printers, and other IT equipment.

• Set up and manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Maintain server infrastructure (Windows/Linux), including backups and antivirus.

• Manage user accounts, access rights, and IT security protocols.

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.

• Monitor system performance and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure high availability.

• Perform regular maintenance and updates of software and hardware systems.

• Handle email configuration (e.g., Outlook/Thunderbird) and system formatting.

• Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure their proper documentation.

• Provide support for video conferencing, CCTV systems, and biometric devices.

• Liaise with vendors for IT hardware procurement and AMC services.

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to users.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, troubleshooting, and repair.

• Hands-on experience with networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac).

• Familiarity with server installation and maintenance.

• Experience with network security, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle IT emergencies.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT hardware and networking support.

• Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA A+/N+, or MCP are preferred.
