IT Hardware Engineer

### Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hardware and Networking Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, network systems, and related equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, good problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude towards system upkeep and security.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware components including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

• Set up and maintain wired and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end users.

• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

• Perform regular system upgrades and patch management.

• Implement and maintain security measures such as antivirus, firewalls, and data encryption.

• Maintain inventory of hardware assets and documentation of configurations and changes.

• Support data backup and disaster recovery operations.

• Collaborate with other IT staff to support server infrastructure and cloud-based systems.

• Provide technical support and training to staff as required.

### Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or relevant certification/experience).

• Strong understanding of computer systems, LAN/WAN networks, and TCP/IP protocols.

• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.

• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.

• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar are preferred.

• Good communication and documentation skills.
