Desktop Support Engineer

• Troubleshooting:

  Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues reported by users through various channels (phone, email, remote access, or in-person). 

• Installation and Configuration:

  Set up new workstations, install software and hardware, and configure peripherals for new and existing employees. 

• Maintenance and Upgrades:

  Perform regular maintenance on hardware and software, including operating system upgrades and security patches, and assist with hardware and software upgrades. 

• Documentation:

  Maintain detailed records of IT equipment, track issues, and create documentation for troubleshooting and solutions. 

• Training:

  Provide basic training to users on how to use software and hardware and troubleshoot common problems. 

• Communication:

  Communicate effectively with users to understand their issues, explain solutions, and provide updates. 

• Collaboration:

  Work with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues and implement new technologies. 

• Inventory Management:

  Manage the inventory of IT equipment and order supplies as needed. 

• Escalation:

  Escalate unresolved issues to specialized teams or vendors. 

• Proactive Support:

  Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact users.
