Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.

• Provide technical support for software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity issues.

• Respond to user queries and issues via phone, email, or in-person in a timely manner.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.

• Set up new user accounts and manage access permissions and passwords.

• Ensure data security and perform regular system backups and updates.

• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of support requests.

• Coordinate with vendors and higher-level support teams when necessary.

• Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS / macOS / Linux troubleshooting.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, email configurations, and remote desktop tools.

• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, IP configuration, and network printers.

• Knowledge of antivirus and data backup solutions.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
