Key responsibilities
System monitoring: Oversee computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment to detect and respond to errors or malfunctions.
System operation: Input commands, run programs, and ensure operations are completed on time according to schedules.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software problems, and report more complex issues to the appropriate technical staff.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning equipment, installing software updates, and managing printer supplies.
Data management: Enter and update data in databases, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and perform regular backups.
User support: Respond to user inquiries and provide assistance with basic computer issues.
Documentation: Maintain logs of activities, tasks performed, and system changes.
Security: Help secure computer systems and networks.
