Job Summary
A Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, organizing supplies, and ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are followed. The role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and food preparation areas.
Receive, unload, and properly store food supplies and kitchen materials.
Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain proper waste segregation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Refill kitchen supplies and report low stock levels to the supervisor.
Support chefs during food preparation and service hours.
Follow all health and safety procedures and use kitchen equipment safely.
Perform other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Chef.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualification: 8th Pass / 10th Pass (preferred)
Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, canteen, or catering service is an advantage but not mandatory.
