Janitor

Job Title: Janitor / Housekeeping Staff

Location: HM Rochester – Commercial Building
Reporting To: Facility Manager / Admin Officer

Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of common areas, offices, restrooms, and surrounding premises of HM Rochester. The role ensures a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for occupants, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain office floors, lobbies, corridors, staircases, lifts, and common areas

• Daily cleaning and sanitization of restrooms, washbasins, and pantry areas

• Dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming as per schedules

• Collection and proper disposal of waste and recyclables

• Refill consumables such as soap, tissue paper, and hand towels

• Report maintenance issues (leakages, broken tiles, lighting issues) to the Facility Manager

• Follow safety, hygiene, and housekeeping SOPs

• Support during events, inspections, audits, or emergency situations

• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly

Requirements & Skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and tools

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Physically fit to handle cleaning duties

• Honest, punctual, and disciplined

• Prior experience in commercial buildings preferred (not mandatory)

• It is a Full Time Housekeeping job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
