1. Role Purpose
To supervise housekeeping activities in the restaurant, maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensure washroom and dining areas are always guest-ready, and coordinate with the FOH and BOH teams for smooth daily operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Daily Hygiene & Cleanliness Supervision
· Ensure dining area, waiting area, washrooms, and service stations are cleaned as per schedule.
· Check cleanliness of floors, furniture, windows, glass, and guest touchpoints.
· Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained throughout all operational hours.
B. Washroom Maintenance
· Monitor washroom cleaning frequency and ensure they remain clean, odour-free, and well stocked.
· Check handwash, tissues, sanitizers, and consumables and refill as needed.
· Report plumbing or maintenance issues immediately.
C. Housekeeping Staff Supervision
· Allocate tasks to housekeeping staff and monitor their work.
· Conduct grooming, uniform, and behavior checks for housekeeping staff.
· Provide guidance, discipline, and coaching where required.
D. Material Management
· Ensure availability of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
· Maintain inventory of housekeeping consumables and request replenishment in advance.
· Verify proper storage of chemicals and safe usage practices.
E. Coordination with Restaurant Team
· Work closely with Restaurant Manager and FOH team to maintain area readiness.
· Align cleaning schedules with peak hours to avoid guest disturbance.
· Support pre-opening and closing housekeeping routines.
F. Hygiene & Safety Compliance
· Ensure housekeeping practices follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
· Conduct spot checks for pest control, waste disposal, and smell control.
· Report repeat issues or hygiene deviations to the RM/ARM immediately.
G. Reporting & Documentation
· Maintain daily housekeeping checklists and shift reports.
· Record incidents, complaints, or deviations for management review.
