Housekeeping Supervisor

A housekeeping supervisor manages daily cleaning operations, inspects facilities for quality, and trains staff to ensure high hygiene and safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Assign daily cleaning tasks, create shift schedules, and arrange replacement workers during absences.

• Quality Inspections: Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to verify they meet cleanliness standards.

• Training and Orientation: Teach new and existing staff proper cleaning techniques, safety rules, and customer service protocols.

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals, tools, and linens, and order new supplies as needed.

• Guest Relations: Handle customer complaints or special requests and coordinate room statuses with the front desk.

• Maintenance Reporting: Identify broken fixtures or facility damage and report them directly to the maintenance team.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certifications are a plus.

• Experience: Proven work history as a housekeeper, room attendant, or supervisor in hospitality.

• Skills: Strong communication, basic organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and handle active cleaning duties during shifts.
