Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained, allocating daily duties, monitoring attendance, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor housekeeping staff on a daily basis.
Allocate duties and work schedules to housekeeping personnel.
Ensure cleaning activities are carried out as per company SOPs and client requirements.
Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
Monitor the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
Ensure proper storage and handling of housekeeping materials.
Team Management
Maintain attendance and shift records of housekeeping staff.
Train new employees on housekeeping procedures and safety practices.
Guide and motivate team members to improve performance.
Handle employee grievances and report disciplinary issues to management.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of housekeeping operations.
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for resolution.
Ensure proper usage of PPE and safety equipment by staff.
Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels of housekeeping materials and consumables.
Maintain inventory records and submit replenishment requests.
Prevent wastage and misuse of cleaning supplies.
Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.
Maintain records of attendance, leave, inspections, and material consumption.
Report operational issues and client complaints to management promptly.
Required Qualifica
Minimum 1tions2th Pass / Graduate preferred.
Diploma or certification in Housekeeping/Facility Management is an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Skills Required
Leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and cleaning procedures.
Basic computer knowledge
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
