Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision & Staff Management

• Supervise housekeeping staff at all assigned locations.

• Prepare and allocate daily work schedules for each site.

• Monitor staff performance and ensure tasks are completed on time.

• Maintain discipline, attendance, grooming, and overall staff behavior.

2. Training & Development

• Provide training to housekeeping staff for various locations on:

  • Cleaning techniques and procedures

  • Usage and handling of cleaning equipment

  • Chemical safety and hygiene practices

  • Site-specific cleaning standards and SOPs

• Conduct refresher training sessions to maintain quality.

• Ensure new joiners are oriented and trained as per company standards.

3. Cleaning & Maintenance Oversight

• Inspect all locations regularly to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.

• Report and follow up on maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work.

• Ensure deep cleaning schedules are implemented properly.

4. Inventory & Supplies Management

• Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials, tools, and chemicals at all locations.

• Raise requisitions for replenishment and maintain proper records.

• Ensure safe and correct usage of chemicals by staff.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all staff follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.

• Maintain checklists, attendance sheets, inspection logs, and training records.

• Adhere to company policies and statutory hygiene standards.

6. Coordination & Support

• Address housekeeping-related complaints or requests promptly.

• Coordinate with Admin, HR, and other departments for operational support.

• Support special events, deep cleaning tasks, or emergency cleaning requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in housekeeping supervision or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.

• Good leadership, communication, and training skills.

• Ability to manage multiple locations and shift-based teams.

• Basic inventory and record-keeping knowledge.
