Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Supervision
Supervise and lead the housekeeping team across all designated areas (production floor, common areas, washrooms, cafeteria, offices, external premises, etc.).
Prepare and implement daily/weekly cleaning schedules and duty rosters.
Ensure proper cleaning methods are followed as per defined SOPs (dry/wet mopping, dusting, sanitisation, waste segregation, etc.).
Conduct regular rounds/inspections to check cleanliness, hygiene, and safety compliance.
2. Standards, SOPs & Compliance
Implement and maintain 5S / hygiene standards across all areas.
Please make sure all housekeeping staff follow company policies, grooming standards, and safety guidelines.
Coordinate with Admin/HR/Plant team during audits, client visits, and inspections.
Could you make sure proper documentation of checklists, cleaning schedules, pest control, and sanitisation activities?
3. People Management & Discipline
Lead by example and maintain a disciplined, respectful, and efficient work culture.
Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, use of materials, machines, and safety protocols.
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and behaviour; escalate any misconduct or performance issues.
Motivate and guide the team to maintain high standards of work and teamwork.
4. Inventory & Vendor Coordination
Monitor stock of housekeeping material (cleaning agents, mops, wipes, consumables, etc.) and request replenishment on time.
Ensure optimal usage of material and prevent wastage.
Coordinate with external housekeeping agencies/vendors (if applicable) and ensure quality of services.
5. Safety, Security & Emergency Readiness
Ensure safe use of housekeeping chemicals and equipment as per safety norms.
Immediately report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance requirements.
Support in basic emergency preparedness (fire safety, evacuation readiness, etc.), in coordination with Admin/Security.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: 10+2 / Graduate preferred (flexible for strong experience from Defence / Army background).
Experience:
3–7 years of experience in housekeeping/facility supervision in a plant, hospital, hotel, corporate office, or similar setup, OR
Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Army personnel with relevant exposure to upkeep, discipline, and team handling.
Skills & Competencies
Strong sense of discipline, punctuality, and responsibility.
Ability to lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff effectively.
Good observation skills; eye for detail in cleanliness and hygiene.
