Housekeeping Job Description
A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in assigned areas such as hotels, hospitals, offices, schools, or private residences.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Make beds, change linens, and replenish toiletries and supplies.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust surfaces.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
Report maintenance issues or damaged items to supervisors.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
Ensure guest or client satisfaction by maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and time management skills.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
