Housekeeping House Keeping Staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize designated areas, including floors, furniture, and fixtures.

• Restock supplies like toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.

• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools effectively.

• Apply cleaning chemicals safely as per guidelines.

• Report damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the concerned department.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Minimum Qualification and Experience Range. Expert knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is essential. The role requires candidates with time management skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina to perform tasks efficiently.

Building Cleanliness & Hygiene Management

• Execute cleaning operations across all zones: dining area, kitchen, base kitchen, washrooms, staff areas, and exterior premises.

• Enforce daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.

• Supervise deep cleaning activities and ensure pest control schedules are followed.

• Maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety and hospitality regulations.

Team Supervision & Training

• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and hygiene protocols.

• Monitor staff uniforms, grooming, and conduct.

• Coach junior housekeeping staff and track their performance.

Guest & Operational Support

• Support the front-of-house and kitchen teams by maintaining readiness and cleanliness at all times.

• Respond quickly to operational cleaning requests, spills, or maintenance issues during service hours.

• Prepare and maintain clean, functional restrooms throughout operational hours.

• Maintain clean and organized storage for guest supplies (tissues, air fresheners, etc.).

Inventory & Procurement

• Monitor cleaning supplies stock (chemicals, tools, equipment).

• Place timely requests for replenishment and track usage.

• Ensure all tools are maintained in good condition and replaced when necessary.

Maintenance Liaison

• Report and track any facility maintenance issues — water leakage, drainage, electrical problems, etc.

• Coordinate with vendors or facility maintenance personnel when required.

• Monitor cleanliness of ventilation systems, drains, grease traps, and high-reach areas.

Reporting Support

• Maintain checklists for daily cleaning and share compliance reports with supervisors.

• Log pest sightings, maintenance issues, and resolution timelines.

• Support the events team in preparing a clean, hygienic space for any special function or community event.
