Housekeeping Staff / Society Housekeeper
The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and basic upkeep of common areas in the co-operative housing society. The role ensures a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Clean and sweep common areas such as lobbies, staircases, corridors, lifts, basements, and parking areas
Mop floors and maintain the cleanliness of society offices and community halls
Clean society toilets and wash areas (if applicable)
Dispose of garbage properly and manage waste segregation as per society/municipal guidelines
Clean dustbins and the surrounding areas regularly
Ensure timely cleaning as per the duty schedule
Refill cleaning supplies such as soap, disinfectant, and water where required
Report any damages, leakages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor/secretary
Assist during society events or meetings with basic cleaning and setup
Use cleaning materials and equipment safely
Follow hygiene, safety, and society rules at all times
Cooperate with the security staff and the management committee
Society Supervisor / Manager / Secretary / Maintenance Committee
As per society rules (e.g., morning and evening shifts or full day)
Weekly off as decided by the society
